who am i?

i’ve got no freaking idea.

all i know is i keep moving forward and i keep waking up each morning and i keep longing for the light…

Okay, but for the curious, I will say this. My name is Uma Bode (aka Kate, Katie or Katherine). I live in Austin, TX. Hometown: Katonah, NY and most of my adult life was in the SF Bay Area. I am a wanna be writer and sometimes photographer. My heart is devoted to the spiritual journey and to me that means remembering over and over that the life we live is exactly prescribed and that the mystery has us, every moment, always.

To make a living, I put my master’s in botany to work at a small environmental consulting firm where I work part time from home for an employer who appreciates me. It’s a simple thing, but it means the world to me. I volunteer at Amala Foundation’s youth programs and I also am pretty immersed in Vanessa Stone’s teaching work.

I have a cat named Magical Kitty (MK for short). She is a wonderful wizard of love and entertainment.
